I’ve been playing with the alpha version of Kazoo, a “light synthesizer for real-time performance of visual music” from Optical Alchemy. Mark Buchanan used Kazoo to project images to accompany the music at my birthday party and at our Ducks To Water performance in June. One of the presets is called “Mandala Bliss,” and the fractal imaging algorithm can produce some rather mandala-like effects, so I found a picture of a mandala, threw an alpha channel on it, and imported it into Kazoo. Fun! ...
I went to an art exhibit in Palo Alto Saturday. Very much enjoyed the work of all three artists, particularly Nico Scapel’s oil paintings Trajectoires and Guerre.
I got it in my head to create a graphic for a birthday party invitation, and was struck by a Photoshopportunity while noodling around with my jellyfish photos from the Monterey Bay Aquarium earlier this month. ...
