Last Sunday, C, J, D, R and I hiked in the Windy Hill Open Space Preserve, starting from the Alpine Road entrance not far from my house. C mentioned wanting to keep track of places she’d hiked, so while researching today’s planned expedition, I grabbed a map and drew some squiggles on it. We started at the bottom (right side); about 7 miles (according to Ray’s GPS) in 3 hours.
A few photos are here.

Hmm...I’m guessing from context clues that “D” and “R” are [edited by dsw]...who are “C” and “J”? Tell those I know I said hi, if you will.
Looks like you’re doing some GREAT hiking, I’m so happy for you. Michael and I went hiking at Atsion Lake in the Pine Barrens (Pinelands), which I’ve learned from the Wiki definition is over a million acres of undeveloped land, one of the largest such stretches on the East Coast. Beautiful stuff...didn’t snag any pictures, but my eyes caught it all. And the air is spectacular! Ahh...
I hope I get to visit you sometime this year, though probably not in April for Michael’s break as I’d hoped (though you never know), and if not then, perhaps the summer. Give me a call later if you get this and let me know if you’re going to be coming for the Tin Angel show tomorrow night - show’s selling out, so I’ll have to save you a ticket!
And YES, I’m learning a minute amount of [html] coding. Exciting stuff, eh?
Hope you’re having a great day. Needs must I go for now.
Peace and love,
Jo
