Earlier this week I woke up in the middle of the night and had trouble getting back to sleep. While I lay awake, it popped into my head that it was time to go visit my kids and parents in New York. I turned on the computer, checked email, and there was a notice of a fare sale on US Airways. Got a really good price and am able to fly straight into Ithaca instead of Syracuse; haven’t done that in a long time.
In the car yesterday, the iPod picked a couple of Red Letter tracks. During my synth solo on “I Know You,” I remembered the poor mix engineer trying to tame the distorted sound with wild, highly resonant filter sweeps. I thought of posting a tidbit here (maybe later). I thought about how it had been some months since I’d gotten a CD order. This afternoon, someone in Germany ordered it. (If you’re reading this, thanks! it’ll ship by Monday.)
