Logic's default quantization ::

I bumped my head on something in Logic last night—every newly-recorded MIDI sequence had its quantization set to 16th notes. That’s not exactly best when recording take after take in search of a good piano solo. Google was no help. An old Opcode co-worker happened to call today. I remembered that he was a Logic user and asked how to fix this. No, it’s not a bug in Logic 7; it’s always been this way. The new sequence’s quantization settings comes from the one that’s active in the upper-right of the Arrange window when “MIDI THRU” is displayed. It’s one of those things that’s frustrating at first, but useful later (there have been other times I’ve recorded many takes, set the quantization of each one before playback, and wished there’d been a better way).
