Holding open a door ::

The NAMM show was its usual combination of sensory (mostly sonic) overload, gear lust and family reunion. It was a relief to spend Sunday talking with fellow MIDI geeks about standards, though I was reaching the end of my endurance. I took a break to relax outside for 10 minutes. Coming back inside, a woman held the door open for me. I said “thanks,” and found myself smiling. Something popped into my head half a moment later: “Life is a song. Sing it.”
