Power of Pride ::
Either I’m turning into a horrible curmudgeon, or I have tuned into a muse who translates secretly encoded cultural messages, e.g. in patriotic music. Today I saw an American flag bumpersticker with the words “Power of Pride.” The muse whispered a translation: “Proud of Power.”

Power of Pride = Patriotism = Republican = self-righteous = religious fundamentalist = believes in UFO’S = easily manipulated..

Those two towers had Pride and Greed written on them to a lot of the rest of the world, and unfortunately, to some who couldn’t restrain their hate. When will we learn that we invite the hate with the terminal case of “pride” that we have? Build it even taller next time.......its still coming down, and it’ll be our “pride” that does it again.
