In-flight movies ::

Over the North Sea—I began pushing the channel button on the video screen trying to find the flight progress display. The first thing to appear was the 20th Century Fox logo and then stars’ names. It seemed I’d seen the movie but I couldn’t place it. Then the title came up and I saw it was The Road to Perdition.

I flipped to the next channel. The movie opening also looked familiar but it was displaying the art director’s name or something, so I impatiently pulled out the KLM magazine and saw that it was Signs.

I saw both of these movies in Ithaca with the same friend in August. Their climactic scenes have something in common.
