self-producing ::

Musically I’m close to having an album’s worth of music in a demo state ... some things are a bit short and abrupt, and I really ought to coax a friend with a percussion controller to come over and humanize some things, but I’m pretty happy with the compositions—the first half is darkly groovular while the second mixes some classical and new age-isms with some spaciness. This is the stage I have trouble with—my composer’s instincts have been satisfied by bringing the pieces to a stage of relative completion. I wish someone else would put on the producer’s hat, help finish the arrangements, find and record some other players, and mix everything perfectly. But there’s only me :)
