Shuffling perspective ::
Heh, I’ll avoid talking about football by writing on Sunday morning instead of Sunday evening.
I’d been feeling stuck in a rut with my own music-making. I’d browse through sounds on my synthesizers and they’d just remind me of things I’d done before or, worse, other people’s tunes. Then I got the idea of using Galaxy’s Shuffler feature (the piece of code, incidentally, that was the demo I sent to Opcode which lead to my working there) to make some new JV-1080 sounds. Of course, they all needed tweaking, but all of a sudden the rut with no new possibilities had become a space with many new ones. It’s all a matter of perspective.
