School’s back in session. The recently-arrived students here in Ithaca are demonstrating their illusions of immortality by walking in front of cars. While sometimes one misses the lazy quiet of summer, the students bring a bit of urban intensity with them. There were a few bunches of them at Red Letter’s gig on Friday 8 Sep. I found myself telling a friend the other day that my life began again when I went off to college, half-ignored my classes, and pursued my own interests in computers and music.
