School’s back in session. The recently-arrived students here in Ithaca are demonstrating their illusions of immortality by walking in front of cars. While sometimes one misses the lazy quiet of summer, the students bring a bit of urban intensity with them. There were a few bunches of them at Red Letter’s gig on Friday 8 Sep. It was of those weird evenings combining evidence of an unprofessional lack of rehearsal (we’re not always good at maintaining the old tunes) with way-out improvisation.
